Donald Craig, who runs Craig Services & Access, has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for breaches of health and safety law after his company hired out an unsafe cherry picker, which buckled while it was in use, causing the death of one worker and seriously injuring another.
An international packaging products maker, which, IOSH Magazine reported two weeks ago, was fined £20,000 after a maintenance worker’s hand was seriously injured in a pinch roller, was dismantling its production site and had only skeleton staff when the accident occurred.
