Programme completed for IOSH 2016

Open-access content Tuesday 10th May 2016
From the archive:  Just so you know, this article is more than 3 years old.

Sir Clive Woodward will be a keynote speaker at IOSH 2016

More than 500 people have already secured their place at IOSH 2016, including senior safety and health professionals from Network Rail, Airbus Group, Mace, Travis Perkins, Tesco, American Eagle Outfitters and Dixons Carphone.

The conference is being held at ExCeL London from 21-22 June. It will be opened by IOSH president Dr Karen McDonnell. Rugby World Cup winning coach Sir Clive Woodward will be among keynote speakers, while TV and radio journalist Tanya Beckett will chair the event.

The conference theme will be 'Influential leadership: delivering impact -- sustaining change'. Speakers from an array of industries will share their views and experiences on influencing positive change. Industry experts will also talk about the latest safety and health developments and innovations.

Delegates will be able to attend a mixture of high-level plenary sessions, case-study sessions and roundtable discussions. They can choose sessions from four tracks depending on which best suits their requirements.

Some of the speakers have described the conference as a "major" event in the safety and health calendar.

Keith Hole, health and safety manager at MTS Cleansing Services Ltd, said: "It is the major safety conference occurring internationally this year. The speakers, the presenters and the information that will be available there is second to none."

Fellow presenter John Green, director of health, safety and environment at construction firm Laing O'Rourke, said: "It's where debate occurs, it's where opinions are forged, it's where knowledge is exchanged and it's where decisions are made. It's an opportunity for individuals to have their say on the issues of the moment."

Professor Alistair Gibb, of Loughborough University, added: "There's some really good cutting edge content, in terms of finding out what the leading companies are doing."
