PPE regulation seminar at SATRA, 10th October, Northamptonshire
17th September 2018
Over the past 22 years, hundreds of thousands of models of PPE have gone through the certification process under the PPE Directive and millions of individual products have subsequently been CE marked and sold all across Europe. However, to continue placing these products on the market they will have to meet the requirements of the new regulation, and after 21st April 2019 it will be illegal to place on the market any item of PPE that is not in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425. The scale of the recertification task is potentially enormous and will require careful planning and managing to ensure a smooth transition and to minimise any disturbance to the market.
SATRA, an independent research and testing organisation, will be holding a seminar for participants to learn more about the regulation changes and timescales on Wednesday 10 October at its head office in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
During the day there will be an opportunity to split into smaller groups to look at specific topics such as recent changes to glove standards or to meet up with an individual member of the SATRA team to discuss a particular issue.
