Heather and her trainers are qualified to deliver MHFA and have also developed a one day Line Managers course on dealing with stress in the workplace -- spotting signs and symptoms, managing sickness absence and the conditions to create a team which thrives.
They can deliver half day mental health awareness and resilience workshops for large groups and help support an organisation's health approach through partnerships with health kiosk providers and mindfulness experts.
They are currently working with UPP across all their sites to manage a wellbeing programme, Willmott Dixon, Luton Airport, London Midland and ITV. The Healthy Work Company also delivered training to Laing O'Rourke, Heathrow Airport and UBM.
There are three regional open MHFA courses currently available:
London, 22 - 23 February http://bit.ly/2j9o6fc
Norwich, 28 Feb - 1 March. Email for more details
Birmingham, 21 - 22 March http://bit.ly/2A3sjnW
The MHFA course is a two day course for volunteers in your organisation to become official Mental Health FirstAiders. It does not train someone to be a therapist, but is evidence based to enable participants to:
-
recognise the symptoms of mental health issues
-
provide initial help
-
guide a person towards appropriate professional help
The course price includes all manuals, food and drink for the two day programme and venues are selected to provide the best learning experience to delegates.
