The Supply Chain Sustainability School is a virtual learning environment that aims to help construction suppliers and sub-contractors develop their sustainability knowledge and competence.
The concept of the School was initially developed by Skanska and was launched in partnership with Willmott Dixon, Kier, Sir Robert McAlpine, Lend Lease, Morgan Sindall and Aggregate Industries. Since then, other construction companies such as BAM Construct UK, Balfour Beatty, Carillion, Wates and ISG have also joined.
JSP has managed to achieve this Gold Award through significant investment. Solar PV installation in 2014 generates enough solar power to ensure on average one in three JSP safety helmets are made by the sun. On a really sunny day, 100% of its safety helmets are manufactured using renewable energy.
JSP also adopts a no-waste policy on site and is continually improving its manufacturing methodologies to ensure a safer, more sustainable future by making products 100% recyclable.
JSP is proud to be part of the Sustainability School. The company joins the construction industry with its continued commitment to lead the industry into a brighter, more sustainable future.
