Delivering best practice in safe evacuation at Safety & Health Expo 2019

From the archive:  Just so you know, this article is more than 3 years old.

The Midlands-based manufacturer was on hand at the event to share best-practice in emergency evacuation procedures as well as risk management.
This year, Safety & Health Expo had some high-calibre speakers amongst the seminar programme. This meant sessions were often over-flowing and footfall appeared strong with a large contingent of international visitors.
The Evac+Chair team experienced a steady flow of visitors, many of whom wanted to try out the various models on show. This meant they were incredibly busy performing a large number of on-stand product demonstrations, showcasing the smooth stairway descent. Once visitors had experienced an Evac+Chair, their understanding of this equipment and the vital role it plays in an emergency evacuation situation becomes far clearer.
At this year's show, Evac+Chair also completed a mini survey to better understand which individuals are assigned responsibility for safe evacuation in an emergency. This prompted some useful insight which will help guide follow-up research.
Like all marketing decisions, exhibitions are under the budget microscope. Evac+Chair says The Safety and Health Expo 2019 remains a powerful means of raising its brand awareness and generating sales enquiries, not just from the UK health and safety sector but also internationally.
