No one, except some of the fire-fighters, come out of this terrible situation very well.
However, if the passive fire resistance of the building had been what was expected, then the fire brigade never would have to had face the decision they did.
Also, I do agree with the Brigade when they say that the building was not designed for a mass evacuation and did not have a means of raising a universal alarm.
After half an hour I fear that the fate of more than we would ever hope in the Tower may have already been sealed.
I still remember Summerland (Isle of Man - 1973) although the more informed may say that was more to do with the surface spread of flame rather than the inside of the cladding burning.
