This year's Awards celebrate those who have contributed to changing the world of work for the better in 2017. Last year, 535 organisations from a wide range of industries, countries and continents won an International Safety Award.

New Awards: Employee Wellbeing Initiative and Health and Safety Innovation Awards
For the first time, organisations can apply for two new awards which are designed to recognise and celebrate employee wellbeing initiatives and occupational health and safety innovations implemented by organisations across the world.

The Employee Wellbeing Initiative Award will recognise and reward organisations that have implemented initiatives that promote and demonstrate a proactive and effective approach to improving worker wellbeing. The Health and Safety Innovation Award will recognise and reward organisations that can demonstrate a fresh and innovative approach to improving health and safety at work.

Launching the awards, Mike Robinson, Chief Executive at the British Safety Council said: "We are delighted to introduce two new categories of the Awards this year. The Employee Wellbeing Initiative Award reflects the growing commitment of the industry and the investment companies are making in wellbeing initiatives. They lead to better staff engagement and productivity and benefit both employees and society more widely. We are also very pleased to introduce the Health and Safety Innovation Award that will reward businesses going the extra mile to improve the health and safety of their workers."

Individual Health and Safety Champion Awards
Once again, we are running two awards that recognise individuals who have gone beyond the call of duty to help ensure the health and safety of their colleagues -- The Health and Safety Champion and Young Health and Safety Champion of the Year Awards. For the first time, organisations can enter employees for the Champion Awards for free, even if the business does not apply for an International Safety Award.

Celebrate the 60th year of the International Safety Awards at our Gala Dinner
Award winners, alongside their employers, partners, clients and industry peers will be invited to celebrate their success at the Gala Dinner, which will take place at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Friday 27 April 2018.

The closing date for applications is Monday 5 February 2018 and the results will be announced on Friday 9 March 2018. To apply visit www.britsafe.org/isa2018
