IOSH’s stand at this year’s Safety & Health Expo (SHE) attracted a record number of visits.

There were 1,472 visits made to the stand at the event – well in excess of previous years – with information on career development, IOSH training courses, volunteering opportunities and the upcoming ISO 45001 standard on offer.

Also available were details on WORK 2022, IOSH’s new strategy, and the latest from the No Time to Lose occupational cancer campaign.

Meanwhile, IOSH-organised events on the Operational Excellence Theatre attracted packed audiences. Under the theme ‘All about risk’, there were presentations on the dos and don’ts of risk assessments, the adoption of ISO 45001, and managing risks of older workers. There was also a lively panel debate on what makes a good risk assessment.

Emma Carter, IOSH Membership Manager, said: “We had an unprecedented amount of interest in our stand at SHE.

“While some of the 1,472 visits will include some people who visited more than once, the number demonstrates the real appetite in the health and safety field to keep up-to-date with what IOSH is doing.”

SHE was held at Excel London from 20-22 June.
