IOSH announces Council election results

Twelve members of IOSH have been elected to serve on its Council.

Council represents IOSH members, holding the Board of Trustees accountable for its performance against key responsibilities on their behalf. It also debates key strategic, professional and policy issues.

In order of election, the Council members are:

1.    SALMON, Diana
2.    COOLING, Rob
3.    KEMMERY, Nicola Jane
4.    BRIDGES, Kevin
5.    JONES, Stuart
6.    DELANEY, Ciaran
7.    START, Nigel
8.    CLAFFEY, Peter J.
9.    THOMAS, David
10.     QUINN, James Laird
11.     JAMES, Mark
12.     SUTHERLAND-POWNALL, Jamie

A total of 3,382 votes were cast in the election, a turnout of 8.3%. 

IOSH would like to thank all members who voted or put themselves forward for election, and congratulates the candidates who have been elected.

    8.3% turnout. This is a very poor turnout by any means and IOSH should review and scrutinise the procedures and means for Council elections.
