London-based event production firm The Fair scooped the Best Practice Award at the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) Awards 2016, after judges were wowed by the quality of their partnership working with clients, and commercial and safe events models.
Nick Morgan, CEO at The Fair, said: “We pride ourselves at The Fair for having a pragmatic, unobstructive approach, aligning ourselves with client teams to ensure we deliver expert support whilst staying true to the concept and creative vision of each event.
“Our aim is to provide the best possible experience with event safety at the heart of our practice.”
The Fair has been delivering festivals, large scale events, brand experiences and exhibitions since 2000.
It was one of 16 category winners announced during the NOEA Awards 2016 gala dinner, which took place in Bath, UK, on 24 November.
The Best Practice Award, sponsored by IOSH and its Sports Grounds and Events Group, recognised The Fair’s commitment to ensuring safety and health across all of its events.
CEO Nick said the award win was all the more special given IOSH’s sponsorship of it, with both himself and Rob Dudley, Director at The Fair, being Technical Members of the Institution.
Nick said: “It’s amazing to have won the Best Practice Award. We are especially pleased that this was an IOSH category as we pride ourselves in our approach and experience in event health and safety.”
The Scottish Chamber Orchestra and UK audio-visual company RG Jones were also shortlisted entries in the Best Practice Award category.
The event was attended by James Heappey, MP for Wells, who is also chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for the UK Events Industry.
