As the UK trade body for access and scaffolding, the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) is committed to safety and compliance.
It achieves this in a number of ways, including the regular auditing of NASC Contractor members and production of guidance notes covering health and safety, contractual, technical, product purchasing, asset protection, and sustainability and environmental issues.
Another way it looks to improve safety standards is through the production of its annual NASC Safety Report, which contains NASC Contractor member accident statistics and analysis.
The NASC uses this report to showcase the exceptional efforts its NASC Contractor members go to in ensuring they work to the highest levels at all times.
But more than that, it also uses the report to investigate the causes and trends behind the recorded accidents as a starting point for putting measures in place to bring these numbers down in the future.
