Open-access content Monday 11th April 2022
Watercooler mast.jpg
  • 10 keynotes, 21 live case studies, and 100+ expert-speakers
  • Gain insight from the nation's most forward-thinking business leaders
  • A free to attend events with over 100+ hours of free peer-to-peer learning
  • The UK’s first fully accessible climate neutral B2B Event

Launching on 25th-26 May 2022 at Olympia in London, ‘The Watercooler’ is hosting its debut two day exhibition and conference to champion workplace wellbeing, addressing the challenges, trends and the solutions in today’s workplace. A meeting of the minds to address the fundamentals of mental, physical, social, financial and environmental wellbeing, the in-person event will be free to attend for all, offering a unique opportunity to learn from and network with some of the industry's boldest and brightest leaders.

Attendees will experience a dynamic schedule of workshops, conferences, and roundtable discussions hosted by industry experts with content covering topics from ‘Addressing the New Type of Burnout’ to ‘Understanding and Supporting the Individual Needs of Neurodiverse Colleagues’.

Professor Dame Carol Black, Speaker, Expert Adviser on Health & Work to NHS Improvement and Chair of Ageing Better, commented: 'The workplace post-COVID needs to be different. It must meet the mental, physical, financial, social, and environmental needs of the workers, as well as the purposes of the organisation. The Watercooler is where you can gather, make connections, learn from colleagues' experiences, and find the right solutions for your organisation — whatever its size or shape.'

Claire Farrow, Partner & Global Director of Content of Make A Difference Events, said: 'Our ambition is to create the largest, expert-led celebration of workplace wellbeing in the UK — bringing more and more employers to the workplace wellbeing conversation.'

‘The Watercooler’ and its sister event ‘SME XPO’ are also proud to announce that they will be the UK’s first fully accessible climate neutral B2B events. To help the events achieve this, four partners were selected- Welcome, Eventwell, ClimatePartner and Event Cycle, each of whom founded with the intention of creating positive social change. From calming quiet areas for neurodiverse attendees, event waste repurposing to measuring carbon emissions and working to offset these, ‘The Watercooler’ and ‘SME XPO’ are committed to creating an event that is kinder, more accessible, and with positive social and environmental impact at its heart.

Organised by Make A Difference Media and the Evening Standard in partnership within partnership with Mercer Marsh Benefits, AXA Health, Nuffield Health, Bupa, Good Shape & Calm for Business
