Management systems are a key way for interrelated parts of its business to achieve its objectives
Over the previous 20 years, we have seen a growing acceptance in the market that Management System Standards are an essential part of a mature business model. They can relate to a number of different topics, including quality, environmental performance, health and safety and much more. But with a growing plethora of standards available, how can you ensure you know which are the key standards for your organization?
In this free webinar, we will be providing a basic overview of five of the most implemented standards; ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environment Management), ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management), ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) and, of course, ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management).
Within the world of ISO standards, there is often an assumption that everyone knows the differences and terms associated with the core ISO Management Systems Standards, but, this is far from the case. Knowing the key purpose and structure of these standards, can help you make informed decisions about implementation, training and certification. What you may discover, is that there are more similarities than differences between a number of these standards, and gaining an understanding of one standard that follows the high level structure, can provide a great springboard to becoming an expert in multiple standards.
Our two experts share over 60 years of industry experience working with ISO management system standards. Alan Mitchell has a wealth of experience in the engineering & manufacturing sector with previous management roles in Engineering, Quality, Environmental and OHS to senior level in a range of industries. Whilst, Steve Thorpe has extensive health and safety and environmental knowledge, including management systems auditing and implementation knowledge across the financial, aerospace, commercial, retail and automotive sectors.
Whether or not your organization has implemented an ISO Management System Standard, this webinar will provide a great first step towards expanding your knowledge. We are aware that the investment involved with these can be significant, and that’s why we believe it’s hugely important to make an informed decision about these standards before leaping in head first.
Finally, our tutors will also introduce attendees to the topic of Organizational Resilience and how standards can help embed this within your organization. Organizational Resilience is “the ability of an organization to anticipate, prepare for, respond and adapt to incremental change and sudden disruptions in order to survive and prosper”. It is not a one-off exercise but achieved over time and for the long-term. Mastering Organizational Resilience requires the adoption of excellent habits and best practice to deliver business improvement by building competence and capability across all aspects of an organization. This allows leaders to take measured risks with confidence, making the most of opportunities that present themselves.
We believe this webinar is perfect in helping you become more familiar with ISO standards. It’s ideal for those who are looking to implement or train to one of these key standards, potentially with a career in auditing or consulting in mind. Finally, if there are people within your organization who aren’t directly responsible for ISO standards but could benefit from furthering their knowledge, we would encourage them to join.
