Workplace Covid-19 testing: Update seminar for OH

The first session of 2021 will be on 28th Jan at 10.00 and will cover:

  • Latest on the types of testing available and appropriate for the workplace
  • Recent changes in legislation effecting OH providers
  • Current and expected trends in testing delivered through OH providers

Who should attend: Directors/Managers in commercial Occupational Health providers, who are either currently delivering workplace Covid-19 testing or considering providing the service to their clients.

Delivered by: Covid Testing Network (CTN) has been at the forefront of workplace testing, since their early work supporting Care Homes at the start of the pandemic, through to their on-going work delivering testing plans for some of the UK's largest OH providers.

Why attend?

OH providers are having to act quickly to keep-up with workplace demands for Covid-19 testing. A combination of traditional seasonal trends within certain sectors (such as Warehousing and Food & Drink in the lead up to Christmas), overlaid with the impact of Covid-19 lockdowns has resulted in peaks in demand for PCR testing from different industries, at different times.

As a result, OH providers across the UK are finding sudden uplifts in PCR testing requirements from their existing or potential clients. At the coalface of the shifting demands for commercial testing, is Covid Testing Network (CTN), who deliver tens-of-thousands of tests every week, through their UK wide lab network, alongside their OH customers.

This week they published a free to download paper ‘UKAS registration & DHSC self-declaration’ for OH providers that covers the new Covid-19 legislation that came into force on 1st Jan, taking a number of providers by surprise. They’re also predicting a rapid rise in testing requirements from the Corporate sector as the current lockdown begins to lift.

Throughout the last few months, CTN have been among the first to spot trends in Covid-19 testing in the workplace and have worked hard to support OH providers in delivering services to the commercial sector. Aside from their delivery of testing, they´ve become widely recognised for their online knowledge sharing sessions in support of OH providers - and their expertise supporting testing across a wide range of commercial sectors.
