Hundreds of OSH practitioners joined IOSH magazine for its live webinar earlier this week.
Hosted in association with EHS software provider Intelex, the focus of the session took into account the current challenges around training in the pandemic. Experts including Duncan Spencer at IOSH discussed agile knowledge sharing through microlearning – a bitesized approach to training.
The COVID-19 crisis has brought about new requirements and use cases for agile training – with a focus on addressing remote working conditions and responding to the needs of open and closed industrial employees as well as field workers across industries, explained Scott Gaddis, VP of OSH at Intelex Technologies.
'Due to the volume of information and the gravity of the issue, the ability to distil down to the right information at the right time to the right audience is crucial,' he said.
The session compared macrolearning versus microlearning, and highlighted how tailored and targeted training strategies can help mitigate risk and streamline the transfer of knowledge throughout our organisations.
