Connected worker platform puts EHS leaders in driving seat of digital transformation during pandemic

From the archive:  Just so you know, this article is more than 3 years old.

zaptic

In order to protect workers and maintain continuity during the crisis, many manufacturing and other kinds of site operations have seen a rapid adoption of digital collaboration and virtual workloads. Daily activities such as shift meetings, manual handovers and face to face training have either had to be dropped or re-invented virtually. It’s for this reason that a new meme is currently doing the rounds. It goes like this:

“Who led your digital transformation?”

a. Your CEO
b. Your CIO
c. Covid-19

Of course the answer to this meme is C, Covid-19.

“This is the reason we currently see many health and safety departments suddenly in the driving seat of accelerating digital transformation”, says Sandy Reid, Chief Customer Officer at Zaptic, provider of a leading connected worker platform headquartered in Manchester.

Zaptic has been used by essential manufactures to rapidly deploy new digital safety, sanitation, distancing and remote work measures since the start of lockdown. The platform provides tools for operational, non technical people, such as EHS leaders, to digitise their own workflows and reporting systems. These workflows, often previously paper or spreadsheet based, are published to a mobile app for frontline workers to follow, generating visibility, alerts and metrics which managers can track and follow up on from anywhere.

Using this functionality, Zaptic’s customers - which include essential manufactures like P&G, CSL, Hovis and more, were able to very quickly make adjustments to their EHS procedures and build new digital ways of working for a Covid secure operation.

Zaptic’s Covid-19 Safe Workplace package now makes these capabilities available to your organisation with a 24 hr deployment time. In addition to providing trial access to Zaptic’s no code authoring capability which sits behind the app, the package provides the following pre-configured workflows for an accelerated path to digitalisation and a COVID-19 secure operation:

  • Site entry health survey and compliance dashboard.
  • COVID-19 safe workspace audit and dashboard.
  • COVID-19 cleaning guidance, scheduling and tracking.
  • Virtual COVID-19 hygiene and safety training.
  • COVID-19 near miss and hazard reporting with analytics.
  • Ability to customise digital workflows for your site.

The package is free of charge to existing customers of Zaptic, and comes with a small one time fee for new customers, with no long term commitment. To take advantage of this offer, you can book a meeting with Zaptic’s deployment team, or download the solution overview here.
